HAPPY TUESDAY! It has been quite some time since I wrote a post. Partially because the holiday season is a crazy time for my family and I. I mean really who isn’t it a crazy time for. Unless your one of those well prepared folks that do shopping on a timely manner. Guess who is not one of those people? Yep, hello that would ME! Every year I swear I’m going to do better next year. Yeah it’s an ongoing lie that I have with myself.
I also used this time to find myself a little bit more. When I started this blog I had high hopes for everything. Not saying my ideas and dream are not coming true but I started to let my mind wander and lost sight of what my original plan had been. While I think that woman are the Queens of multi-tasking, I was not yet at the level (I felt) with my blog that I had wanted to be. I started to try my hand at different things, straying away from my passion and original idea for Sangria Chronicles.
This holiday season and break that I took gave me better insight on why I actually started writing. It was to inspire other woman to go out and achieve goals, be the best they could be and not to limit themselves to a stigma society had created for us. I also wanted to show woman and men alike the power of makeup. Makeup is an art. Not just products that cover up blemishes and skin you want to hide. It is a way that boys, girls, woman and men use to express themselves. Giving them confidence to conquer the world and kick ass everyday. My six year old daughter has makeup and every time we take it out the glow on her face is indescribable. She feels amazing and like she can take on the world! Mission Accomplished!!

Okay, now obviously not everyone’s passion is the same. But I guess the question would be how do you find your passion or yourself? In the beginning of my journey this was probably the hardest question anyone could have asked me. I have no idea. I wanted to be successful. That’s all I had. I had no idea how to make that happen, no idea what that would entail. Nothing, I had nothing. After a few weeks of trying my hands out in almost everything I realized the one thing I loved to do, was good and could grow with was makeup! I took that idea and ran with it.
It was one of the best decisions I’ve made to date. I now have the privilege to do makeup on wonderful people and the end result is always gratifying to me. I now have booked wedding, maternity shoots and engagement shoots. It’s amazing what you can do when you believe in yourself and chase after a goal that makes your heart happy.
So look within yourself, what is the one thing that you can not stop thinking about? Fashion, makeup or art? I firmly believe that if there is something you can’t stop thinking about, you are doing yourself a disservice to not try your hand in something related to it. So many people think that they can’t accomplish their dreams or passions because it seems out of reach. Stop that kind of thinking! Work your ass off and don’t let anyone tell you that your dreams are not in reach. You can be the only to reach them. Only you are in control of your destiny. Work so hard everyday. Set goals, crush them and make new goals. Have confidence in yourself to achieve whatever you put your mind too.
So go out there my little gems and shine bright! Conquer your dreams, goals and aspirations!! And of course always Stay Gorgeous my loves!
** A special thank you to my mother-in law who has so much confidence in me. Thank You!**
